Children and staff from Nishkam Nursery travelled to London Westminster to celebrate Vaisakhi in the Houses of Parliament. Vaisakhi is a festival to celebrate the birth of the Khalsa.
The children participated in singing praises and explored both the historical significance of Sikh traditions and important UK law-related buildings. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect faith heritage with civic life in Britain.
This trip reinforced our commitment to providing children with broad, enriching experiences that celebrate diversity and cultural identity, nurturing a sense of pride in who they are and where they come from.
