- Wash hands with soap before exiting rooms
- Wash hands with soap after removing gloves and aprons
- Keep gloves and aprons in the rooms, outside medical bag, toilets
- Wear gloves and aprons when changing children
- Wear gloves and aprons when assisting children in the bathroom
- Wear gloves and aprons when dealing with body fluids (vomit, diarrhoea, blood, mucous)
- Shower children after severe vomiting and diarrhoea
- Adhere to colour code
- Encourage children to wash hands thoroughly with soap before meals and after using the toilet
- Wash Poppies hands and face thoroughly with individual flannels in soapy water
- No sand or water-play during any epidemic
- Wash down plastic mats daily
- Soak toys in all rooms every Friday on rotary basis
- Wash toys/clothes in role-play last Friday of the month
- Put children’s own cups through steriliser every morning
